LE Logistics' mission is to provide innovative, practical and top-quality logistic services and solutions that improve small and medium size businesses. LARRY ELLIS
Larry Ellis is a seasoned Logistics professional, with over twenty-five years of experience within Warehousing, Distribution and supply chain environments.
I have a solid background within various roles of Implementation, Business Consultancy and Project Management.
I also have several years’ experience of training and designing training courses; and completed courses for three professional qualifications, one of which is an RSA Teacher Training Diploma.
One of my key skills is integrating very easily with people, and within various positions I have always got on very well with work colleagues and trainees. I believe that the skill of adapting to the current environment has assisted me in integrating and relating to people at different levels, from shop floor workers up to Company Directors. I have also expanded my Project Management experience over the last fifteen years, in various positions that I have also worked in.
The type of projects that I have managed has varied from WMS implementations, Voice Picking Roll Out as well as IT Infrastructure Projects.
I drive projects forward and deliver results. I have previously worked in Holland for 18 months on two projects, which involved implementing a Warehouse Management System, into three Distribution Centres of a retail grocery chain. I have also implemented a WMS rollout in Barcelona and Madrid. I have run several Conference Room Pilots and workshops, where the key deliverable has been a gap analysis or functional specification leading to project initiation. My previous positions also involved pre sales work, which included system demonstrations and presentations to potential and existing customers.
More recently working for a major Pharmaceutical company in the role of global program manager for a Windows 7 roll out project. This project involved splitting my time between Coventry and Stuttgart.
This wealth of experience has enabled me to focus as an independent consultant with LE Logistics offering Logistics and Supply Chain expertise.
I will deliver which in turn will help your organisation deliver the key benefits of the solution that is being implemented.

"Arif has worked with Larry on two occasions. The first occasion was between 2004 to 2005 then on a second occasion between 2011 and 2012. The 1st occasion was for an operational role. Second occasion was to upgrade the River Island Warehouse Management System - Manhattan.
Prior to implementation Larry was required to understand and scope out what needed improving to ensure that the end to end process of supply chain was at its maximum output ensuring we delivered to our target. Larry utilised his operational experience to advise on a model that would suit the new upgrade.
River Island are now 18 months from two years away from upgrading this system once again. When we do this upgrade I will look at Larry supporting the team to manage the upgrade and implementation. Larry understood what the business objectives were and could clearly explain what was required to be done meaning I could walk away with complete confidence that Larry would deliver to the standards expected and achieve the desired outcomes. Having Larry on the team meant I did not need to worry about what was happening at macro level. Larry was able to streamline all the warehouse efficiencies aligned to the WMS and ensure that the outputs were at the level required.
On the day the upgrade went live there was an anti-climax as the team were looking to resolve any technical issues however it was BAU. No issues - had normal software issues but this was testament to how good the work was that Larry and the team delivered for us at River Island.
Larry was well sought after within the team. I have worked with Larry on two occasions and expect there to be a 3rd. It was clear Larry had a wealth of experience within Operational warehouse management and system implementation and upgrades. He is a very approachable person. Is very level headed and commercially astute. Larry inspired confidence within the team."
